By submitting a device for repair, signing an intake form, or approving service verbally, digitally, or in writing, the customer agrees to all terms and conditions outlined below.

Authorization of Work

Customer authorizes Tech Guardian to perform diagnostic, repair, and related services on the submitted device. This authorization applies whether approval is provided in person, online, via phone, or by message.

Diagnostic & Labor Charges

All devices are subject to diagnostic and labor charges. Fees apply regardless of repair outcome if time has been invested in inspection, troubleshooting, or attempted repair.

Typical diagnostic and labor charges range from $40–$150 depending on service complexity.

Estimates & Pricing

All estimates are preliminary and subject to change. Additional issues may be discovered during repair. Customer approval will be requested before proceeding with additional billable work whenever possible.

Right to Retain Property

Tech Guardian retains the legal right to hold any device for which payment has not been made for completed services. Devices will not be released until all outstanding balances are satisfied.

Repair Risks & Limitations

No Guarantee of Repair Success: Due to the unpredictable nature of electronics, especially board-level and liquid-damaged devices, repair success is not guaranteed. Devices may be rendered non-functional during the repair process due to pre-existing conditions or component failure.

Data & Payment

Data Liability

Tech Guardian is not responsible for data loss under any circumstances. Customer is solely responsible for backing up all data prior to service.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed. Devices will not be released until payment is made in full.

Abandoned Devices & Storage

Devices not picked up within 30 days of completion or notification may be considered abandoned.

60-Day Limited Warranty

A 60-day limited warranty applies ONLY to the specific repair performed.

Parts & Components

Tech Guardian is not responsible for failure of unrelated components before, during, or after repair.

Customer-Supplied Parts

No warranty is provided on customer-supplied parts. Customer assumes all risk associated with compatibility and failure.

Shipping & Communication

Shipping Risk

Customer assumes all risk for shipping unless insurance is explicitly requested and paid for. Tech Guardian is not liable for damage during transit.

Communication Responsibility

Customer is responsible for maintaining communication. Failure to respond does not waive charges or halt billing.

Legal & Dispute Resolution

All services are considered civil business transactions. Any disputes shall be resolved through civil means. Customer agrees not to pursue criminal claims for billing disputes related to authorized services.

Agreement Acknowledgment: By submitting a device, signing intake forms, or approving service, the customer confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to all terms listed above.

We collect only what's needed for repairs: name, email, phone number, device details, and diagnostic information. Credit card data is handled by secure third-party processors (Square, PayPal) — we never store payment details.

How We Use Your Data

Information is used exclusively for diagnosis, repair, device return, and service communication. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared without consent.

Your Rights

Contact us to access, correct, or delete your information at any time. Your device's personal files remain private during service.
