We collect details like your name, email, phone number, and repair information. Payment data is handled by secure third-party processors (Square, PayPal, etc.) — we don't store credit card details.
Diagnostic & Meta Data
We may collect diagnostic data during evaluation and repair, such as device model, serial number, IMEI, software version, and application settings. This data is used strictly to perform the repair or service and is never sold or shared without your consent.
How We Use It
We use your data only to diagnose, repair, and return your device. Occasionally, we'll contact you for repair updates or optional service offers. Your data is protected and never sold or shared.

📋 Terms & Conditions of Repair
1. Services Provided
Tech Guardian LLC offers diagnostics, repairs (phones, laptops, consoles, boards), data recovery, and AI automation services including business workflow automation and personal AI assistants.
2. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing correct device passcodes and backing up all data before service. Deposits are non-refundable if work begins or parts are ordered.
3. Diagnostics & Approval
All diagnostics are free unless stated otherwise. No work will be performed without customer approval. Estimates may change if additional damage is found during repair — we'll contact you before proceeding.
4. Repair Attempt Fee
We charge a repair attempt fee for most devices that involve motherboard repairs, data recovery, or devices that had prior repair attempts. If repair is unsuccessful or data recovery is not possible, or the device was previously worked on before it arrived at our shop, you will be charged a repair attempt fee ranging from $40-$100 to cover the time spent working on your device.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Unrepairable Devices
By agreeing to proceed with an attempted repair, the customer acknowledges that not all devices are repairable, an attempted repair still involves labor, time, and resources, and a fee will be charged for the attempted repair even if the device cannot be restored to working condition.
5. Declined Repair Policy
If a repair is declined after diagnostic acceptance and work has been started, a labor fee of 15% of the quoted repair total will apply to cover time and expertise used to assess the issue and prepare the solution.
6. Replacement Parts Procedure
If a service requires parts to complete, we will contact and inform you of the need prior to ordering any parts. We will explain the part needed, why it's necessary, any associated costs, and give an estimate of when the part will likely arrive. Due to shipping times being beyond our control, our estimate is a best guess and is not intended to guarantee arrival by a specific time.
If you would like to hold on to your device until parts come in, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of the ordered parts will be required.
Tech Guardian will generally not use parts not purchased by Tech Guardian. This is due to our inability to verify that the parts are functional and will provide a good fit for your device. Any replacement parts not supplied by Tech Guardian are not covered by any kind of warranty or guarantee except as might be provided by the part manufacturer. By providing your own parts, you acknowledge that you understand and agree that any work we provide is not covered by the Tech Guardian Limited Shop Warranty or any other guarantee or assurance, explicit or implicit. You also agree to waive any liability for damage to your device caused by faulty parts or other part incompatibilities.
7. Estimate and Repair Time
We pride ourselves on the speed of our repairs, however many of the factors that determine the length of your repair are beyond our control. As such, we will attempt to service your device as soon as possible in the order it was received. Any references to service times on our website or in promotional materials are our best estimates based on previous experience and are not meant to represent an exact time frame or offer any guarantees of service time.
8. Cancellations & No-Shows
24-hour notice required for cancellations. Late cancellations may incur part return fees. No-shows may result in full or partial charge.
9. Payments & Refunds
All payments are due upon completion. Refunds are issued only if a repair fails within warranty terms. Diagnostic fees are non-refundable once board-level work has begun.
10. Lost/Stolen Devices
We check all devices against national databases. Service is denied for any flagged, blacklisted, or stolen items.
11. Pickup Time Limit & Abandonment Policy
Due to our limited storage capacity, we will hold on to devices for up to 30 days after we contact you to pick up your device. After the 30 day period, if we have not heard from you, we will consider your device abandoned and Tech Guardian will have the right to sell the device to recover service cost and parts used to fix your device, or we'll recycle the device if it's non-functional.
We cannot guarantee that your equipment will not be discarded after the initial 30 day period, so it is critical that you pick up your equipment on time or make arrangements with Tech Guardian to store your equipment until you can pick it up. If you make arrangements to pick up after 30 days, you may be billed for storage.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Device Pickup
Devices left 30 days after completion with 4+ failed contact attempts are considered abandoned and may be recycled or repurposed to cover part costs and storage fees.
🛡️ Limited Shop Warranty
We offer a 60 day warranty on all repairs. If for any reason an issue from the original work order recurs within 60 days, we will perform the service again at no extra charge. All parts used to service your device are also guaranteed for 60 days from the date of service. The guarantee does not cover issues that may develop within the guarantee period that are not related to services performed or to the original issue or symptom diagnosed and repaired.
Warranty Exclusions
We do not offer warranties or guarantees, explicit or implicit, on any of the following:
• Any service using parts not purchased through Tech Guardian
• Any software issues, including virus removal, operating system installation
• New symptoms/issues not directly tied to the original service within the 60 day guarantee period
• Installing new hardware or modifying existing hardware in the 60 day guarantee period voids the Tech Guardian Limited Shop Warranty
Recurrence of original symptoms or issues caused by user error or negligence in the 60 day guarantee period, including but not limited to physical damage (drops, crushing, exposure to temperature extremes), liquid damage (spills on and liquid immersion of the device), electrical damage (improper grounding, contact with poorly performing or damaged electrical networks), and damage caused through installation or use of harmful software components (viruses, malware, spyware), voids the Tech Guardian Limited Shop Warranty.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Physical Tampering
If your device is physically tampered with or damaged within the warranty period, the Tech Guardian Limited Warranty is void. This includes but is not limited to cracked screens, dents to the casing, internal damage not present at time of original repair, attempts to open or modify the device, using non-original charging cables to charge your device, or any other action, accidental or intentional, that could cause our repair to fail.
Warranty Repairs
If your device malfunctions or fails within 60 days from the time that you received the device, we will perform the repair again at no extra cost to you. The issue must be related to the original work order. If the issue is unrelated, you will be notified about repair cost before we move forward with the repair. No refunds are issued before we attempt the repair again so we can verify the validity of the claim. Refunds are only issued if we are not able to fix your device minus the repair attempt fee. If your device qualifies for the warranty repair, standard service timelines apply.

Repairs performed without passcodes provided for testing will not be eligible for warranty coverage.
⚖️ Liability & Risk Disclosure
⚠️ REPAIR RISKS - READ CAREFULLY
Electronic repairs are unpredictable. Your device may be beyond repair or may be permanently damaged during repair and rendered useless. Circuit board components deteriorate over time and can fail without warning especially on liquid damage devices where components can short circuit, oxidize, corrode and rust over time.
Screen & Display Risks
Repairs on devices with glued-on screens such as iPads involve prying the screen to access internal components. Screens are very delicate and can crack or break during the prying process. We are highly experienced and the risk of screen breaking is minimal, but glass can break and risks do exist.
Biometric & Security Features
Touch ID / Face ID on Apple devices may fail during repair and be deemed unusable. Although this is not common, it can happen depending on the device condition.
GPU & Component Failures
Integrated GPUs on laptops and AIO computers can fail without warning especially on older devices such as 2011 MacBooks/iMacs, HP, Dell, Toshiba, and other devices with known GPU problems of any year make and model.
Estimates
While we try to be as thorough as possible with all estimates, we do not guarantee that our estimate is all-inclusive and final. Often, it is very difficult or impossible to identify every problem affecting a device until some work is performed. Our estimates may evolve or change during the course of servicing your device. Our initial estimate will always remain valid within the scope of the services it was originally attached to, though we may advise you that the original service may have become unnecessary or unlikely to resolve the issue.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Customer Responsibility for Estimates
It is the customer's responsibility to seek out an estimate. Upon receipt of devices, we assume that the customer wants us to proceed with the repair attempt, and that the customer has done their due diligence to reach out for an estimate or quote. It is the customer's responsibility to reach out for a quote ahead of time, if one is needed.
Data Security
Tech Guardian does not guarantee the security or safety of your data. While we take every precaution possible to make sure the integrity of your data is unaffected, we cannot assume liability for any lost data as a result of services performed by Tech Guardian.
If we are aware that a procedure may result in loss of data, we will inform you of the possibility, what data may be affected, and will offer to back your data up at an additional cost. However, due to the complex nature of electronic devices, we cannot in advance predict what may happen to your data in every situation. We strongly encourage you to back up any important files and documents before you drop off your device for service.
Data Recovery
Data recovery services have costs associated based on complexity and device type. It is understood that when the customer brings in a device for data recovery, that recovery will be performed to the best of our ability to attempt to recover as much data as possible. All data recovered will be placed on a new drive or storage medium. There is no guarantee of data recovery success rates as this depends entirely on the condition of the original storage media.
What Tech Guardian Is NOT Liable For:

• Data loss
• Pre-existing internal or external damage
• Third-party software or hardware failure
• Carrier-related signal issues
• Component failures due to age, wear, or pre-existing conditions
• Issues caused by liquid damage, corrosion, or oxidation not visible at intake
Assumption of Risk
Customer voluntarily assumes all risks associated with the repair and releases Tech Guardian LLC and its affiliates from any liability for data loss, additional component failure, or post-repair performance issues, unless caused by verified gross negligence.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Tech Guardian LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to your use of our services — whether or not we were made aware of possible risks. This includes (but isn't limited to): lost time, lost data, lost access to data or backups, corrupted files, damaged reputation, privacy or security breaches, downtime, missed business, and hardware/software failure after repair.
Our total liability for any claim — whether based in contract, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise — will not exceed $100 or the amount paid for the service, whichever is greater.
⚖️ Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Dispute Resolution
All disputes must be resolved through direct contact first. If needed, binding arbitration under Missouri/Kansas law will be used.
Arbitration Agreement
If a dispute arises between you and Tech Guardian, both sides agree to resolve it through binding arbitration or small claims court instead of general court. You waive the right to a jury trial or to participate in any class action. This agreement applies to any claim tied to our services.
Arbitration Terms
Arbitration may be conducted via phone, online, or written submissions unless the dispute exceeds $10,000. If you cannot afford arbitration fees, we'll cover them. If you win and are awarded more than our last offer, we'll reimburse you for reasonable legal or filing costs. This clause is governed by Missouri or Kansas law depending on service location.
⚠️ CLASS ACTION WAIVER
All claims must be handled individually. You agree not to bring any class action, mass arbitration, or representative action against Tech Guardian. Each dispute must be filed one-on-one. This clause survives termination of this agreement and remains enforceable regardless of other legal outcomes.

By signing a service form or submitting a repair authorization, you confirm agreement to the terms listed above.
Modifications
Tech Guardian reserves the right to update these Terms at any time to reflect service, policy, or legal changes. Continued use of our services after updates means you agree to the revised terms. Only Tech Guardian core staff may make binding changes — no third-party agent or rep can override these Terms.
Severability & Waiver
If any part of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the rest will remain valid. If we don't enforce part of this agreement at one time, it does not waive our right to do so later.
