We collect details like your name, email, phone number, and repair information needed to service your device. Payment data is handled by secure third-party processors (Square, PayPal, etc.) — we don’t store credit card details.
We may collect diagnostic data during evaluation and repair, such as device model, serial number, IMEI, software version, and application settings. This data is used strictly to perform the repair or service and is never sold or shared without your consent.
We use your data only to diagnose, repair, and return your device. Occasionally, we’ll contact you for repair updates or optional service offers. Your data is protected and never sold or shared.
All customer data is encrypted and stored securely. No personal info is ever copied, transferred, or stored unnecessarily.
Our website uses basic analytics (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Yoast SEO) to improve performance — no invasive tracking or ad cookies.

Tech Guardian LLC offers diagnostics, repairs (phones, laptops, consoles, tablets, board-level soldering), and data recovery services.
Customer authorizes Tech Guardian to perform diagnostic, repair, and related services on the submitted device. This authorization applies whether approval is provided in person, online, via phone, or by message.
Customers are responsible for providing correct device passcodes and for backing up all data before service. Deposits are non-refundable once work begins or parts are ordered.
All diagnostics are free unless stated otherwise. No work will be performed without customer approval. Estimates may change if additional damage is found during repair — we will contact you before proceeding.
We charge a repair attempt fee for devices involving motherboard work, data recovery, or prior failed repairs. If repair is unsuccessful, data recovery is not possible, or the device was previously worked on before arrival, you will be charged a repair attempt fee ranging from $40–$100 to cover time invested.
By proceeding with a repair attempt, the customer acknowledges that not all devices are repairable, an attempt still involves labor and resources, and a fee will be charged for the attempt even if the device cannot be restored to working condition.
All estimates are preliminary and subject to change. Additional issues may be discovered during repair. Customer approval will be requested before proceeding with additional billable work whenever possible.
Right to retain property: Tech Guardian retains the legal right to hold any device for which payment has not been made for completed services. Devices will not be released until all outstanding balances are satisfied.
If a repair is declined after diagnostic acceptance and work has begun, a labor fee of 15% of the quoted repair total will apply to cover the time and expertise used to assess and prepare the solution.
If parts are required, we’ll contact you first with the part needed, why it’s necessary, the cost, and an arrival estimate. Shipping times are beyond our control and estimates are not guarantees.
To hold your device while parts ship, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of parts cost is required.
Tech Guardian generally does not install customer-supplied parts, because we cannot verify their functionality or compatibility. If you provide your own parts, no warranty applies, and you waive liability for damage caused by faulty parts or incompatibilities.
We pride ourselves on speed, but many timing factors are beyond our control. We service devices in the order received. Any service-time references on our website or in promotional materials are best-effort estimates, not guarantees.
24-hour notice is required for cancellations. Late cancellations may incur part return fees. No-shows may result in full or partial charge.
All payments are due upon completion. Refunds are only issued if a repair fails within warranty terms. Diagnostic fees are non-refundable once board-level work has begun.
We check all devices against national databases. Service is denied for any flagged, blacklisted, or stolen items.
Due to limited storage, we hold devices for up to 30 days after we notify you they’re ready for pickup. After 30 days without response, the device is considered abandoned.
Devices left 30 days past completion with 4+ failed contact attempts are considered abandoned and may be recycled or repurposed to cover parts and storage costs.
We offer a 60-day limited warranty on all repairs. If an issue from the original work order recurs within 60 days, we’ll service it again at no extra charge. Parts installed by us are also guaranteed for 60 days from service date.
Warranty applies only to the specific repair performed unless otherwise stated in writing. Warranty does not guarantee overall device lifespan or the function of unrelated components, systems, or pre-existing conditions. This guarantee does not cover new issues that develop within the period but are unrelated to the services performed or the original symptom diagnosed and repaired.
No warranty or guarantee, explicit or implicit, applies to:
If your device is physically tampered with or damaged within the warranty period, the Tech Guardian Limited Warranty is void. This includes cracked screens, case dents, attempts to open or modify the device, use of non-original charging cables, or any action, accidental or intentional, that could cause the repair to fail.
Warranty service requires the issue to be related to the original work order. Unrelated issues will be quoted separately. Refunds are only issued if we are unable to restore device function (minus the repair attempt fee). Standard service timelines apply.
Repairs performed without passcodes provided for post-repair testing are not eligible for warranty coverage.
Customer understands and agrees that board-level repair, microsoldering, liquid-damage repair, and data recovery services involve elevated technical risk. Customer voluntarily authorizes Tech Guardian to perform diagnostic and repair attempts despite these risks.
Customer acknowledges that devices presented for service may already contain hidden defects, prior damage, intermittent faults, corrosion, liquid intrusion, prior repair damage, or progressive failures that may not be visible or detectable prior to service.
All services are performed on a best-effort basis. No repair outcome, motherboard restoration, functionality level, or data recovery result is guaranteed. Some devices may become permanently non-repairable despite appropriate repair procedures, and the success of one repair does not guarantee overall device stability. Customer understands repair attempts may expose previously hidden defects, and that such exposure is an inherent and unavoidable part of advanced electronics work.
By submitting a device for any of these services, customer authorizes Tech Guardian to attempt repair knowing the device may:
These outcomes can result from hidden defects, prior damage, corrosion, liquid intrusion, prior repair attempts, lifted pads, damaged vias, severed traces, missing or counterfeit components, board warpage, internal short circuits, manufacturing defects, or progressive failure not visible at intake.
No repair outcome, data recovery result, motherboard restoration, or functionality level is guaranteed. Electronic repairs are inherently unpredictable, and circuit-board components can fail without warning — particularly on liquid-damaged or previously serviced devices.
If a repair cannot be completed, becomes economically unreasonable to continue, parts are unavailable or discontinued, hidden damage is discovered during work, or the device cannot be safely restored, Tech Guardian reserves the right to return the device in its current condition or as-is — including in a partially-disassembled state where further reassembly would risk additional damage. The repair attempt fee still applies in these cases, consistent with section 5 of these Terms.
Customer acknowledges that return condition may differ from intake condition due to previously hidden defects, progression of damage, corrosion, prior repair damage, component failure, diagnostic procedures, or unavoidable consequences of repair attempts. Such differences are an inherent part of advanced repair work and do not constitute negligence or breach by Tech Guardian.
Devices previously serviced, opened, modified, or repaired by another party may contain hidden defects and carry elevated risk. Prior repair work may materially reduce repair success rates and may produce results that cannot be predicted, detected, or controlled by Tech Guardian. Customer warrants that all known prior repair history has been disclosed at intake; Tech Guardian is not liable for outcomes affected by undisclosed prior repair work.
Tech Guardian shall not be liable for failures, additional damage, or non-recoverable states caused by:
Customer accepts that these conditions are frequently undetectable until disassembly is underway, and authorizes Tech Guardian to proceed with reasonable repair attempts despite this uncertainty.
Repairs on devices with glued-on screens (such as iPads) involve prying the screen to access internal components. Screens are very delicate and can crack or break during removal. We are highly experienced, but glass can break and some risk always exists.
Touch ID / Face ID on Apple devices may fail during repair and be deemed unusable. Although uncommon, this can occur depending on device condition.
Integrated GPUs on laptops and all-in-one computers can fail without warning, especially on older 2011 MacBooks/iMacs and other makes/models with known GPU issues.
The customer acknowledges inherent risk in:
Tech Guardian does not guarantee the security or safety of your data. While every reasonable precaution is taken, we cannot assume liability for any lost data as a result of services performed.
If a procedure may result in data loss, we will inform you of the possibility and offer optional backup at additional cost. Due to the complexity of electronic devices, data outcomes cannot always be predicted in advance. Back up important files before drop-off.
Data recovery pricing is based on complexity and device type. Recovery is performed to the best of our ability; success depends on the condition of the storage media and is never guaranteed. Recovered data is placed on a new drive or storage medium.
Upon receipt of a device, we assume the customer wants us to proceed with the repair attempt and has already done their due diligence to request an estimate. It is the customer’s responsibility to reach out for a quote ahead of time, if one is needed.
Customer voluntarily and knowingly assumes all risks associated with the requested repair — including the possibility that the device may remain unchanged, improve, worsen, become partially functional, or become non-functional during service — and releases Tech Guardian LLC, its owners, employees, technicians, contractors, and affiliates from any liability for data loss, additional component failure, cosmetic damage, or post-repair performance issues, except in cases of verified gross negligence or willful misconduct.
By authorizing service, customer affirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms in full, including the elevated risks inherent in board-level repair, microsoldering, liquid-damage repair, and data recovery. Customer releases and holds harmless Tech Guardian from claims relating to unsuccessful repair attempts where reasonable repair procedures were followed.
Tech Guardian shall not be liable for failures arising from hidden defects, prior repair attempts, missing components, lifted pads, damaged traces, damaged vias, liquid intrusion, motherboard warpage, manufacturing defects, corrosion, progressive failure, or latent faults — whether or not such conditions were apparent at intake.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tech Guardian LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, secondary, or punitive damages related to the use of our services — whether or not we were advised of the possibility of such damages. This includes, without limitation: loss of use, loss of profits, business interruption, emotional distress, lost time, lost data, lost access to backups, corrupted files, damaged reputation, privacy or security breaches, downtime, missed business or revenue, replacement device costs, and hardware or software failure occurring after repair.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim — whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute, or otherwise — shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount actually paid by customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Before initiating any formal proceeding, the customer agrees to attempt informal resolution by contacting Tech Guardian directly in writing at admin@guardianrevives.com and allowing a reasonable period (no less than 30 days) to resolve the matter. Most disputes are settled at this stage.
These Terms, and any claim or dispute arising from Tech Guardian services, are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Exclusive venue for any small-claims matter, arbitration, or in-person proceeding shall be the state and federal courts located in Clay County, Missouri, or the nearest available arbitration forum in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Claims that cannot be resolved informally and are not eligible for small-claims court must be resolved through final and binding arbitration in Missouri, in lieu of court litigation. Both customer and Tech Guardian waive the right to a jury trial. Arbitration may be conducted by phone, video, online platform, or written submission unless the disputed amount exceeds $10,000. If the customer cannot reasonably afford the arbitration filing fee, Tech Guardian will cover it. If the arbitrator awards the customer more than Tech Guardian’s last written settlement offer, Tech Guardian will reimburse reasonable filing and legal costs.
Tech Guardian reserves the right to pursue unpaid balances, collections, fraud, chargebacks, abandoned-device fees, collections actions, fraud claims, chargeback disputes, and recovery of property through any legal remedy otherwise available — including small-claims court, collection agencies, and credit-card dispute processes — without first invoking arbitration.
All claims must be handled individually. You agree not to bring any class action, mass arbitration, or representative action against Tech Guardian. Each dispute must be filed one-on-one. This clause survives termination of this agreement and remains enforceable regardless of other legal outcomes.
By signing a service form, submitting a repair authorization, or leaving your device with Tech Guardian, you confirm your agreement to the terms listed on this page. All repair attempts and associated fees must be agreed to by the customer prior to beginning work beyond the initial diagnostic.
Tech Guardian reserves the right to update these Terms at any time to reflect service, policy, or legal changes. Continued use of our services after updates means you agree to the revised terms. Only Tech Guardian core staff may make binding changes — no third-party agent or rep can override these Terms.
If any part of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains valid. If we do not enforce part of this agreement at one time, it does not waive our right to do so later.
Customer is responsible for maintaining communication. Failure to respond does not waive charges or halt billing.
Customer assumes all risk for shipping unless insurance is explicitly requested and paid for. Tech Guardian is not liable for damage during transit.
We’re happy to walk through any policy or term before your repair.
